Workshop on ATL's 20th Anniversary Workshop - ATL20Y 2024

28 - 29 April, 2024 - Angers, France

In conjunction with the 19th International Conference on Evaluation of Novel Approaches to Software Engineering - ENASE 2024

CO-CHAIRS

Frédéric Jouault
ESEO
France

Brief Bio
Frédéric Jouault is an associate professor at ESEO, France. He received his PhD from the University of Nantes before doing a postdoc at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His research interests involve model engineering, transformation, synchronization, and execution, as well as their application to Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs), and model-based reverse engineering. Frédéric created ATL, a DSL for model-to-model transformation.
Théo Le Calvar
IMT Atlantique
France

Brief Bio
Théo Le Calvar is an associate professor at IMT Atlantique (IMT Atlantique, Nantes, France) and member of the NaoMod team, LS2N (UMR CNRS 6004). His research revolves around system modeling and use of AI tools. More specifically applying constraint satisfaction techniques in the context of model transformation. He contributed to the design and implementation of ATLc, an extension of the ATL model transformation language that allows users to write transformations that include constraints that are solved after the transformation execution.
Jean-Sébastier Sottet
Luxembourg Institute for Science and Technology
Luxembourg

Brief Bio
Jean-Sébastien Sottet holds a doctoral degree since 2008 from the University of Grenoble, in model-driven engineering for adaptive and context-aware user interfaces. Then he did post-doctoral researches in the AtlanMod team mainly on the use of model-driven engineering in reverse engineering. Finally, he spent 3 years in Luxembourg, in an R&D private company in the Public Research Center Henri Tudor. He is currently involved in researches on modeling (more particularly use of user-interfaces for modeling) and in model-driven human-computer interaction engineering.
Massimo Tisi
IMT Atlantique
France

Brief Bio
Massimo Tisi is an associate professor at the Institut Mines-Telecom Atlantique (IMT Atlantique, Nantes, France), and deputy leader of the NaoMod team, LS2N (UMR CNRS 6004). Since 2019 he coordinates the Lowcomote Marie Curie European Training Network. His research interests revolve around software and system modeling, domain-specific languages and applied logic. He contributes to the design of the ATL model-transformation language and investigates the application of deductive verification techniques to model-driven engineering.

SCOPE

Model transformation is an essential operation in Model-Driven Engineering. It has been used to automate the analysis, processing, and usage of models in all phases of the software lifecycle. The ATL model-to-model transformation language has been the de facto model transformation language standard since its birth in 2004. Over the years, its design influenced a wide range of research lines and tools.
This workshop celebrates the 20th anniversary of ATL’s creation, by gathering the community that has applied or been influenced by it over the last two decades. We expect contributions from researchers and practitioners describing usages of model transformation, applications of its main concepts to other domains, improvements to languages or tooling, or visions for the future.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
  • Industrial Applications of Model Transformation
  • Comparison of Model Transformation Approaches
  • Original Applications of Model Transformation Technology
