Brief Bio
Mohamad Kassab is an assistant professor in Software Engineering at Penn State Great Valley. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Kassab’s research interests include developing a formal, integrated and quantitative approaches, architectural frameworks and tools to modeling and assessing software quality requirements.

Brief Bio
Earned her Ph.D. in computer and information science from New Jersey Institute of Technology, M.S. in computer engineering from Villanova University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Math from Penn State University. She is an Assistant Professor of Software Engineering with the Pennsylvania State University. She worked in industry for 12 years as an Electronics Engineer for the Navy as well as a Software Engineer at Motorola. Her research interests include software engineering teams, Internet of Things, and effective communication and collaboration in technical teams.

The IEEE IoT Community defines the IoT as: "...a self-configuring and adaptive system consisting of networks of sensors and smart objects whose purpose is to interconnect "all" things, including every day and industrial objects, in such a way as to make them intelligent, programmable and more capable of interacting with humans". According to information technology researcher Gartner, the number of devices connected to the Internet excluding tablets, cellphones and computers is projected to hit 20.8 billion devices by 2020. The aim of the "IoT-Education" session is to stimulate and promote international research and collaboration on using IoTs technologies in the field of education. The special session is open to contributions in range of topics related to IoT in education.
