The Special Session on Digitization Technology and Management brings together academics, researchers, and practitioners to address fundamental and practical aspects of digitization technologies, development and operation - in a close relationship to novel approaches for software engineering, software architecture and related management for service computing and the evolution of IT. The focused digital transformation of services with associated digital products and processes is strong correlated with current advances and the evolution of IT. Service computing unifies current aspects of cloud computing, mobile computing, big data, and social computing by using a digital architectural approach, which has its roots in adaptive software architecture and enterprise architecture. Service computing is a key paradigm to support the digital transformation by current and next challenging research on service design, service composition, Internet of Things, and crowd-based reputation and collaboration processes.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Digitization Architecture
  • Digitization Technologies
  • Architectural Patterns for Digitization
  • Internet of Things
  • Microservices
  • Service Design
  • Service Composition
  • Adaptive Software Engineering and Architecture
  • Architectural Metamodels and Ontologies
  • Cloud Computing
  • Big Data and Analytics
  • Collaborative Software Engineering
  • Innovation Management and Design Thinking
  • Decision Support Processes and Frameworks
  • Digital Strategy and Governance
  • Self-optimizing and Resilient Systems
  • Digital Platforms and Ecosystems
